Personal Journal; gorsecloud

Other Characters; n/a
IC Information;
Character Name; Data Sora
Canon; Kingdom Hearts (specifically Kingdom Hearts re:coded)
Canon Point; After Mickey leaves after defeating Data-Sora's Heartless, before his memory is wiped
Age; 2 years-ish? It's when the journal was started, so...
House; Freya - Sora values his friends above all else, and his bonds to them. It's these bonds (particularly to Donald and Goofy) that allow him to transcend the system and gain what is implied to be a true Keyblade, rather than the digital copy he was outfitted with at the beginning of the game.
Power; Charm
Personality; Data-Sora is, in many ways both like and not like the real one. He maintains the same sense of optimism, generosity and loyalty to his friends.
He is very extroverted and sociable, and makes friends fairly easily with people - or at least considers new acquaintances to be friends fairly quickly. And to those friends, he is an incredibly loyal person, and they are incredibly important to him. Because of these connections that he forms and the amount he cares about his friends, Sora is able to obtain a true Keyblade in Hollow Bastion when Donald and Goofy are in trouble - not just the digital copy he had been given by Chip and Dale up until that point. He asks no favors of these friends, and is willing to help them out with no expectation of being repaid. He says outright when Mickey comments that they owe him "Hey, who's keeping score? We're all friends, right?"
Data-Sora is also particularly stubborn, even in the face of apparently insurmountable odds. He refuses to leave Data-Riku to let himself - and the Bugs inside him - be lost to the Darkness, despite Data-Riku insisting that Data-Sora doesn't have time to purge his system. Additionally, he's also somewhat reckless when others are in trouble, such as the time he runs to rescue Pete and Maleficent, despite the risk that if they don't seal the journal, his heartless might break out of the journal into the real world. Another example would be him running ahead to Hollow Bastion to help Mickey, despite his Keyblade being destroyed by Maleficent.
The odd thing to note is that Data-Sora sometimes seems to not rely on the real Sora's memories, even though he should - in theory - have all the ones of Sora's life up until the start of Kingdom Hearts. When Mickey is about to leave, Data-Sora is unable to recognize the choked up sensation he's feeling - instead wondering if it's a glitch. At the same time, there are other points where he clearly does, too - such as the point where he tells Data-Riku about how he "always wanted to see other worlds."
For all his being made of data, Sora is not particularly tech-savvy, any more than his real counterpart. Twice - both before and after his canon point - when discussions about the journal and how it was converted to data come up, Sora makes the comment that he "doesn't really get it."
One of the most important things to note, however, is that Data-Sora is fully aware from fairly early on in the game that he is not the real Sora, but rather a digital copy. However, this fact doesn't trouble him much, if at all. He doesn't even react when Data-Riku comments to Mickey, Donald and Goofy that they're both "just zeros and ones that look like somebody you know." He speaks about the "him out there" very casually and easily - even telling Mickey to wish him the best from him after Mickey leaves the datascape the first time.

Hey guys, is there anybody out there?
[the spiky-haired kid on the network seems puzzled. He's holding something in his hands. Those familiar with more contemporary food might recognize it as a waffle, save for one problem - it's still frozen.]
I found this while trying to find something to eat, and I tried to eat it but it's way too hard.
[He pauses]
There sure is a lot of weird food here. I've only ever really had food from the Islands. Well… at least things the other me has had. It's really strange, eating things for myself for the first time. I didn't really have to think about stuff like that in the- [oops Riku said to not talk about the datascape too much. Even though it was a little late for that.] I mean, where I come from.
[He looks back at the waffle, turning it over as he examines it]
What is it anyway?

This place - with it's sort-of monochrome and grayed-out, wandering people, made Sora think of glitches - the kind that usually had him running around looking for back doors and system sectors. Except there weren't any to find here. He knew that much - he'd even checked around just to be sure, but there was nothing.
He wanted to help, however he could. He could only guess that was why he'd been brought here. It wasn't as simple without Mickey or Riku - the Riku from the datascape, since the other was here too - here to tell him what he needed to do, but he'd figure something out. True, they'd been told that their being here and their emotions or whatever were already helping, but that didn't mean there wasn't anything else he could do.
Not to mention that some of the things he'd heard about wars didn't sound very good. Above all, he wanted his friends to be okay.
But besides just keeping his friends safe, he wanted to fix the problems of this world. It reminded him of the worlds of the journal, and his journey to battle the bugs. Yeah sure, if they fixed the problems in this world he'd go back home, and would forget everything both from here and in the journal, but that was okay. It would mean this world was back to the way it was supposed to be, the same way the journal was. But first they had to actually fix this world.
With his friends though, both the ones he knew and the ones he'd made and would be making, he was sure they'd be able to do something. Just like they had before.
